The Victory Media
Network's grand opening on January 19, 2007 (at
the heart of Victory Park in Dallas, Texas) will
unveil the first large-scale, outdoor digital arts
gallery in the world.
The Victory Media Network comprises a multimillion-dollar
collection of design and technology components,
including eleven individual, high-resolution LED
screens totaling over 4,600 square feet. Eight of
these 15-by-26-foot screens four on each
side of the 100-foot wide Plaza move along
horizontal tracks to allow for a myriad of configurations
and motion possibilities. These screens can also
be combined in sets of four to create 31' x 53'
"super screens" with HD resolution. High fidelity
sound and an extensive theatrical lighting system
heighten the experience to an immersive level.
Digital kiosks are located across the entire development,
disbursed media hydrants provide ready access to
power and high-speed data connections, and wireless
data connectivity provide network access throughout
the district. Supporting the entire platform is
a network infrastructure with a fiber-optic backbone
connected to a network head end located adjacent
to the plaza.
VMN will offer dynamic programming a minimum of
14 hours/day, seven days/week, including digital
art from around the world and inspired visual design
from sponsors. |
